Julia Holland brings her experience as a professional singer, songwriter, actor, director, singing teacher and vocal coach to her audiobook narration. A member of SAG/AFTRA and AEA, she has done TV, commercials, and has performed in and directed countless theater productions throughout LA. She received an NAACP nomination for Best Director of a Musical for her production of The Wild Party at the Malibu Playhouse, directed four seasons of musical extravaganzas for the Nine O’Clock Players in Hollywood and ran her own children’s theater company out of the Malibu Playhouse where she directed over 20 productions. Julia has run her own busy vocal studio in Malibu for the last 20 years and is very active in her community, serving on the board of Malibu Playhouse and, currently, as a Malibu City Arts Commissioner. She is also an active environmentalist and created the Eco Hero Kids, an environmental foundation based on music and theater.

Julia has a BA in music which has led her from classical to jazz to cabaret to country blues. She loves telling stories through song and is an in-demand performance coach. Her music can be found on all the streaming platforms. Julia’s rich, resonant and expressive voice captivates listeners and endears them to her. Her acting and directing journey started in the 80s with Milton Katselas at the Beverly Hills Playhouse, which has led to a perfect convergence of talents that makes for unique audiobook storytelling.
Julia has loved reading and storytelling since she was a child, where she could be found spending all summer under a tree in the backyard with a stack of books. She has the ability to give an animated 10 minute abridged version of an entire book, film or TV show, which her children, only now as adults, find less embarrassing. One of her favorites is Outlander which she discovered after a trip to Scotland.
Her super power is creating interesting meals with very little food in the house. She currently resides in Malibu, CA with her dog and desert tortoise. She is an avid traveler and works globally. Julia loves telling stories. It’s the perfect combination of her acting experience, directing, vocal work, songwriting, and every summer under the tree in the backyard with a stack of books as a young child.
